How Traveling Fig Art and Garden Began

With a lifelong love for paint, soil, seeds, and scripture, I felt God calling me to share His blessings through both creativity and gardens. I carry over fifty years of arts and crafts practice alongside more than fifty years of plant studies, and I pour that experience into every class, kit, and walk. My heart is to see ideas take root, creativity blossom, and faith grow in every home and community I visit.

Art, Gardens, and Faith

I see painting and gardening as two gentle ways God lets beauty and bounty show. Colors on a canvas echo blossoms in a garden, and both require patience, tending, and hope. Through guided art, Southern plant teaching, and faith-filled encouragement, I help children and adults discover gifts they already carry. My mission is simple, to inspire people to create, to grow, and to see God's kindness in every leaf and brushstroke.

Serving Tennessee and the Southern States

God opened doors for me to travel with easels, canvases, and garden wisdom across Tennessee and much of the South, visiting homes, churches, schools, workplaces, and neighborhood spaces. I bring paint parties, Blind Date with a Canvas kits, herb and foraging talks, and community projects that fit each group's age, goals, and budget. Every event is shaped so people can relax, learn, laugh, and feel God's care while they create and grow together.

Faith

I frame every event as a gentle reflection of God's love and creativity.

Community

I design welcoming spaces where all ages can paint, learn, and connect.

Excellence

I draw on decades of art and plant study to serve with care.

Planted by God

I often say God planted two loves in my life, art and plants, and I have spent more than fifty years tending both. I began as a child with crayons, scrap fabric, and wildflower guides, then grew into an adult who studied Southern plants, taught crafts, and shared garden wisdom with neighbors and friends. Over time, I sensed a clear call to turn that history into a ministry that shares God's love through color and creation.

Today I travel across Tennessee and the South with canvases, kits, and practical plant teaching so that families, churches, schools, and workplaces can gather, create, and learn together. My vision is simple, to help every guest see that creativity is a gift, gardens are classrooms full of God's bounty, and both are meant to be shared in community.
